Defence clinical personnel are fully integrated with NHS staff to treat both military and civilian patients. UHBFT provides medical services to wounded and sick military personnel evacuated from overseas and is the principal receiving hospital for ‘AEROMED’ following traumatic injury from any theatre of military activity. RCDM will drive clinical innovation for the military and provide insight into some of the most complex trauma seen in the UK.
